Environment Protection Act 2008 (Cap. 30.25):
Purpose: This Act provides for the protection and management of Tuvalu's environment, encompassing all natural, physical, and social resources.
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA): The Act empowers the Minister to implement regulations for EIAs, ensuring that potential environmental impacts are considered before development projects proceed.
Institutional Framework: It establishes the roles and functions of the Minister for Natural Resources and Environment and the Director of the Department of Environment, both responsible for enforcing environmental policies and regulations.
Wildlife Conservation Act 1975:
